ETA design and build grapnels for cable detrenching, recovery, route clearance and ploughability survey (PAS). Designs range from basic types, to our wheeled grapnel, up to our 3.0 m Tiger grapnel.

ETA supply a range of standard grapnels such as gifford, rennie, sliding prong, flat fish, and spearpoint. ETA specialise in de-trenching grapnels supplying basic and wheeled DTG including the deep penetration Tiger Grapnel.

Wheeled DTGs are offered to cover depths between 0.6 and 1.5m, while ETA’s Tiger Grapnel offers 3m penetration. ETA also offer bespoke grapnels including cut and hold equipment and equipment for power cable.

Grapnels can be offered with skids or wheels where required. A range of sensors are also available including trigger assemblies for sensing cable, and acoustics packages.
