Coiling Arms, Gantries and Cable Handling Equipment

ETA can provide bespoke coiling arms, cable tanks, and other coiling and stowage equipment. All designs are produced in house and will be made to suit specific cable requirements.

ETA have designed gantries for use on a vast array of vessels, either as part of a full ETA deck spread or as one off items. ETA have also designed gantries that can be rapidly removed and reinstalled for use with new basket based cable load strategies.

ETA can supply linear cable engines (LCE) suitable for laying and maintenance operations. Hydraulically or electrically powered.

ETA can provide quadrants (powered or unpowered) for both power cable and telecoms cable use.

A saddleback dynamometer for measuring outboard cable tension, can be supplied with a cable counter for cable distance and speed measurement.

A three-wheeled device of steel construction with EN24T wheels to monitor tow wire tension.
The top wheel is fitted with a loadcell giving a 4-20mA output. Speed and distance measurement is via a rotary encoder (push-pull quadrature output).
